I randomly found 25/8 in the Yellow Pages and wasn’t sure what to expect, but have been pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. The service was quick and the parts came with warranties (always a plus). As a non-computer person, I was a bit worried about be up sold with a lot of stuff I didn’t really need, but that was not ever an issue. I would definitely recommend them to friends in need. (I knew it was a good sign that they had their pets in the office. Animal people are always more trustworthy!!!)

I recently had problems with my computer - norton goback kept freezing up. onCALL 25/8 came to my house and performed a diagnostic, determining the hard drive had failed. They were able to recover 100% of my data - even a semi-obscure application which would have required repurchasing it if it had been lost. They set me up with a new computer and got me up and running in a relatively short period of time - they even provided additional support after I had some issues with my old mouse! Very good service. I needed to recover data from an old Win95 desktop machine. onCall 25/8 provided quick turnaround in a cost-effective manner, providing an external disk drive to plug-into my laptop computer, allowing me to access all my files. Their 24 hour voice-mail/call-back system worked perfectly, and fit nicely into my busy schedule, allowing me to obtain status info about the order in a time efficient manner.

In life you meet many different people from the first time I entered onCall 25/8 the employees greeted me and made me feel like they appreciated my busy. The laptop I asked them to work on was for my cousin who is financially challenged. I wanted to give her something special for Christmas and the laptop which was sitting in my closet because I thought it was no good. Was the perfect gift so after bringing it to onCall 25/8 the staff took about 2 days to fix it completely. Now it is fully ready for my cousin I am sure this will make her Christmas so much better.The manager here even came and greeted me personal which reassured me that this place deserved my business. I had a laptop/cat/wine incident which resulted in the laptop having to come in here for repair. After an ordered part fixed the most evident problem, the motherboard problems became clear. Oncall 25/8 advised that further repairs were not cost efficient given the costs of a new laptop. Overall, it was a very satisfactory experience and the transaction was easily handled.

Even though my prior service was in February and it is now October, they fixed the problem with my Floppy Drive. They came to my house to do the repairs and completed the job without taking my computer guts off-site. That was a blessing as I use my computer for several hours daily. I have used OnCall 25/8 twice. They performed their services in a professional, competent and timely manner.
The first instance involved a destroyed USB thumb drive. The actual USB connector had broken off. They re-soldered the hardware and performed the data recovery (100% effective).
The second instance involved a 1 TB external hard drive. This drive was approximately 70% full (700GB) of large video and audio files (Final Cut Pro). The drive malfunctioned and would fail to show its file structure, even thought the drive would mount and register as 70% full. Again, OnCall 25/8 performed a flawless data recovery. Considering the amount of information, the time it took was astounding. Further, they asked me to come down and verify the data before continuing.
I would highly recommend OnCall for any technical assistance you may require.

Oncall was responsive and professional. We recently had difficulty accessing the internet and after I spoke with Comcast I realized that the problem lay in our own equipment. I spoke with Oncall over the phone and they talked me through some items that may have fixed it. Not so this time! Oncall then came over and identified the primary problem - a faulty piece of equipment, which they then brought over EARLY the next morning.

We are a small business with about six office employees and we had a server meltdown. Our technician (one of those Geek companies) only made matters worse until our network was completely shut down.
